India Monthly Smartphone Market Analysis 2022 Apr

Jun 1, 2022 | Author : Prachir Singh and Monika Sharma

Overview:

India’s smartphone market grew 25% YoY in April 2022. Brands launched multiple products during the month and pushed stock in the channels. However, from a sell-out point of view, demand has softened in April and May due to high inflation. The government is taking measures to curb inflation and we can see a demand uptick by June 2022.

The decline in consumer demand (for the bottom-of-the-pyramid users) can also be seen in the feature phone market. Feature phone shipments also saw a decline of 24% YoY in Apr 2022.
