Successful last phase of ARENA Field Trials

During April 12-16 ARENA has successfully conducted intensive testing of its distance-based road charging concept, which comply as far as possible with EETS (European Electronic Toll Service). 6 participating companies have provided their on-board units for testing. 2 manufacturers have demonstrated enforcement. 1 company have provided telecommunication. The result will now be evaluated.

The ARENA project has conducted a 5-month field trials starting in November 2009 and ending this month. Ordinary trucks have been used for the trial all over the period. The test has been performed in Southern Sweden, geographically centred in Karlshamn.
